Notice how I used the term ‘while doing what you love’ and not ‘while doing what you are passionate about.’

Now, you may ask, what’s the difference? Aren’t they the same thing?

I would’ve said yes, if I hadn’t listen to Robert Greene’s opinion on being passionate about your career.

If you are passionate about doing something, that means you are motivated by some ‘internal force’. And there’s a problem, your motivation will die off after 2 or 3 days, and you start to loose that sense of purposefulness.

But then what’s the solution to a happy and a purposeful life, if passion is not what we should chase?

Purpose. You should work on your life’s task, as Robert Greene calls it in his book, Mastery.

Your purpose is not necessarily what you are passionate about, your purpose is really about the task you have been given by The God.

Your purpose should be a combination of, what you love to work on, no matter what it is and how much it pays you, and what is in demand by the society.

You see, we were sent on this Earth to establish a system of Justice, to fight the wrongdoers and spread kindness.

You never feel bad after being kind, just or doing the right deed. Because these are goals that we as humans, are naturally programmed to achieve.

And that’s why the true sense of purpose comes from contributing to humanity. You could be passionate about being a musician, but it doesn’t help humanity solve hunger or solve the labor problems.

But why am I talking about purpose in a ‘how to make money’ post?

Because that's the only reason why people fail to establish an online source of income.

They start a business because it seems like everyone is doing it and getting success with it, when in reality, the gurus telling you this make money from their YouTbe channels teaching you how to make money.

99.9% of businesses fail just because they lack a clear purpose, a vision.

Online business is no different.

• Solve a problem

• Provide Value

• Get money in exchange

That's it.

An SMMA agency can earn you $20k to $30k per month easily, but it requires many skills and most importantly, it requires a vision on what problem you are solving.

If you aren't willing to do the work it takes to run the agency, and you don't have a clear vision, I can assure you failure.

If you have solved any problem in your life, you are qualified to start a business.

And not just any business, a business that takes you not more than 2 hours a day, and you can make your first dollar online in the next 3 months.

The Micro Education Business Model

If you have solved a specific problem in the past, that means you have the required skill set and specific knowledge to solve that problem.

There's a huge chance that someone else your age has faced exactly the same problem.

It could be

• Building Muscle

• Losing Weight

• Earning Money Online

So, you have the market for the problem, and you have the solution.

And now you are ready to build a business that solves a problem, and earn your first dollar online.

As the name suggests, you educate a specific group of people on a solution to a specific problem.

This can be done through creating content online, either a video on a YouTube channel or by creating a paid course and selling it.

Most people only know about the first method, and the truth is, it's really hard and that’s why most people quit and call online business a scam.

In 2024, thanks to the internet & AI, it's now possible to monetize your audience with just 1,000 true fans.

You don't have to have a 100,000 audience to make $10k per month, as this is what the old Content Creators did.

The new method is simply,

• Target an audience that you want to solve a problem of

• Create FREE content online to build trust

• Gather an engaging small audience ( a 100 people are more than enough )

• Create a paid product, like a private online community, a paid course or a cohort for solving a problem

• Sell the product to your niche specific audience.

Now, the conversion won't be around 2% or 3%, rather it would be 30% to 35% if you built a niche specific audience.

Why Me?

Now a genuine question that some may ask is, “but why would they buy from me?”

They will buy from you if you target their pain point.

Would you buy a course on how to make money online, of your age, your country, a guy who also struggled like you to earn money online or from a guru who makes $100k a month from copywriting, without a proof and with no back story as you?

The answer is obvious.

So, if you target people who faced the same problem as yours, at the same age, and they are in the same position as you were, then congratulations, you are targeting the right audience.

You have to find your dream customer.

And what I learned the hard way is that, your dream customer is your own younger self that faced the same problem.

You have to connect with your audience and it's only possible through your own personal experiences.

Once you become niche specific, you'll target a lot less people, but your entire audience will become paying customers.

“I don't have any value to provide”

You mean,

• you have never quit any bad habit?

• never become successful in any area of your life?

• never improved yourself before?

• never learnt any skill?

• never overcame a problem?

If you’re older than 1 month, then that’s not the case ( i hope so ).

Just pack up the solution and provide it to others who have had similar problem in their life.

The bigger problem you solve, the more money you get. But I DON’T recommend doing this at all. Solve the bigger problem for a smaller audience.

You can niche-down by just saying ‘I help school going students lose weight in shortest time frame possible’ instead of ‘I’ll help you lose weight’.

But there’s a small problem with this educational model; you might become too successful.
